Our executive and management team has a wealth of industry experience and knowledge, working tirelessly to expand TIC's presence across Canada, offer outstanding services to customers, and follow TIC's values of responsible corporate citizenship.

David Hartman

President and CEO
David is both a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Financial Analyst and joined the Co-operators in 1990. He served as Vice President of taxation for the Co-operators, president of Co-operators Mutual Funds Ltd., and Vice President of Wealth Management for Co-operators Life Insurance Company. David has been active in insurance industry associations, including the CLHIA and IBC. In addition, he has had leadership roles in community organizations such as Big Brothers, the United Way and a local church.

Gino Riola

Vice President, Business Development and Marketing
Gino is an expert in the distribution and marketing of financial services and insurance products: life, health, property, casualty, commercial, reinsurance, and for the past three years, travel.For over more than a decade, he contributed to the further growth of three well respected organizations:Allianz, ING, and The Co-operators. His career accomplishments include successful launches of various types of sales distribution models across Asia Pacific, Europe, and North America: face to face selling, affinity partnerships, direct and interactive marketing, and bancassurance. Gino has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (minor in Mathematics) and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. He holds insurance licenses in various countries and completed a post graduate Diploma at The UK's Institute of Direct Marketing.

Magdi Riad

Vice President Claims, Product, Select Care and Travel Assistance
Born in Cairo, Magdi learned the value of customer service through his 13 years working as a travel agent. A results driven management executive, he was part of the founding team of Ingle Life & Health Assurance Company in 1993 and an active executive in the merger between Trent Health and TIC in 2004. Today, Magdi continues to strategically position the Product and Underwriting Department of TIC for growth, leveraging his experience in risk management to mitigate losses through claims and assistance. Magdi also works closely with Co-operators Life and other underwriters, drawing on his strategic experience in risk reduction. Magdi lives in Scarborough, Ontario with his wife and children and enjoys swimming, boating, waterskiing and home improvement.

John Webster

Vice-President, Client Services
John's leadership helps TIC deliver quality services within the organization and to our business partners. He's responsible for a diverse group of internal units including Business Technology Services, Client Support Services, the Consumer Sales Centre, and Client Learning and Development.

Teresa Vozza

Director of Human Resources and Organizational Development
Teresa's 15 years of management experience, coupled with her ongoing professional development, has led to a pro-active human resources strategy that encompasses over 200 staff members across Canada. Under her guidance, TIC's human resources department recruits, trains and increases the wellbeing of staff through the implementation of people-friendly policies.

Sunder Mayuran

Finance Manager
Sunder's in-depth knowledge of the travel insurance industry combined with his financial reporting experience make him invaluable in his role overseeing TIC's Finance and Corportate Services Department. He has been with the company since 1996.

Sandra Boisjoly

Director, Client Support Services
Sandra, a Certified Management Accountant, has over 23 years in the financial services industry in various roles within finance, operations and systems. Her most recent roles prior to joining TIC in 2008 were the most defining as they moved her into a leadership role in the operations and servicing world. Being immersed in an intrinsic culture of continual process improvement dedicated to service excellence has laid a strong foundation for her to move to TIC. Sandra oversees the administration of our agent network, including the Agency Services call centre and Premium Services (which handles all aspects of premium billing, administration and commissions). She is also responsible for all compliance related activities for TIC.

Susan Micklewright

Director, Business Technology Solutions
Susan has over 15 years of extensive multi-industry experience building teams, business systems, processes and infrastructure in logistics, retail, pharmaceutical, and healthcare. Her strong organizational, leadership and strategic skills, combined with her thorough knowledge of program management and planning, provides TIC with its business solution and delivery capabilities. Her group's scope encompasses application design & development, business analysis, project management and quality assurance.

Craig Spencer

Director of Product and Underwriting
Craig joined TIC in 2008, bringing over 30 years international insurance industry experience to the company. Having served on the executive teams of several major insurers and brokerages, Craig has extensive hands-on experience with Business Development and Transformation, Process Engineering and Rules Based Underwriting Technology, giving him a broad perspective of the intricacies of the insurance industry. Craig brings his diverse background and experience to work in for TIC in developing innovative and flexible new products and services that meet the needs of our clients and their customers. Craig enjoys physical activities like baseball, swimming, martial arts and golf. He lives in Oakville, Ontario with his wife and two sons.
