What should I do if my luggage is lost or damaged?

In case of loss or damage of your baggage by the carrier, you must file a report with your airline, bus or train company or cruise line that recognizes the circumstances of loss or damage. It is also advisable that you contact your insurance provider and share the situation with them. The trip cancellation and interruption coverage offered by Allianz Global Assistance may reimburse you up to $1,000 Canadian Dollars for loss or damage of owned or borrowed baggage including personal effects usually carried by you.
