Trip Cancellation or Trip Interruption claims related to COVID-19 will not be payable for any policies purchased on or after March 11, 2020. In addition, medical treatment related to COVID-19 will not be eligible under Emergency Medical benefits within our standard out-of-country travel insurance plans if a Global Affairs Canada travel advisory is in place for your destination on your date of departure. However, supplemental coverage for medical treatment related to COVID-19 is now available through our COVID-19 Insurance and Assistance Plan, which can be purchased through our call centre at 1-844-310-1578. Our Promise to You: All travel insurance plans offered by Allianz Global Assistance include a 10-day "Free Look" period. If you are not satisfied with your coverage after reviewing your Policy of Insurance, you may cancel your policy within 10 days from purchase for a full refund, provided you have not left on your trip or initiated a claim.
